As a human and cat person, I enjoy traveling, watching the Simpsons and painting once in a while. As a designer, even though I love working in both analog and digital environments, analog has a special place in heart. My dream job is to be working as a creative director— but I have a long way to go. Paul Rand, Saul Bass and Michael Beirut are a huge inspiration to me (as you can see in my recent work).
My story starts 4 years ago... While a short period of time, a lot happened so strap in.
I graduated High School in the middle of Covid-19 completely unsure of what I wanted to do with my life.
Feeling passionate about art and sculpture, I originally went into a Bachelor of Arts, but quickly changed my mind to Communications and Media (and thank god I did, I wouldn't be where I am today now would I?)
Ambr Design was initially set up as a project for University where I provided low-cost logos to other students with the intentions to grow my portfolio. This eventually grew as I completed branding, websites and social media marketing for local businesses in the Illawarra.

"I was so impressed with Amber's skills and knowledge. She's a talented artist and designer and keeps herself across new media and technology. I've worked with Amber a few times, and I'm sure I will work with her again. I highly recommend her for any design/branding/marketing work."

Initially hired as a social media coordinator, I was quickly promoted to fulfil the Google Ads Strategist role as well. This set the foundation of my strategic design skills as I worked in Marketing while fulfilling a design degree.
Within a year of my time at Webics, I was tasked with more design projects, eventually designing client websites— applying both my marketing and design knowledge.
After building our own van (Toyota Hiace Commuter, named Cooper), we took 12 months off University, and quit both our jobs, leaving home to drive the circumference of Australia.
Feeling accomplished! I have left UOW with many things— awards, portfolio projects, lots of blogs, lots of experiences, but best of all... some really amazing friends and mentors.
